12/4/2023 0 Comments Webmailer perfora netI'll stop here, but if anyone has read this far and lime myself I thought I understood sometimes better than most of the reps I've spoken to, if you've done this please respond, I've done this type of return several times, but this one as soon as the automated system showed it was returned through the tracking # it closed the return in buyers favor, refunded full amount, but not return shipping while I was on hold calling ebay to let them know that it was showing delivered.Īlso I was told even though this person washed this 100% silk shirt, it came back smelling like Tide and Bounce being run through a dryer, that I had used my 1 time courtesy appeal, basically anything I received where the buyer damaged and fraudulently returned I couldn't appeal, one rep told me just be glad you didn't sell someone an iphone and you got back an empty box and lost $700 and the phone. ![]() 2nd time it happend, and this is where the story could get very long, guy opens return, damaged or defective, shirt is faded, I call ebay, shirt is brand new, please look at photos ebay, they say it's his word against mine, however as he's saying the shirt is faded like it's not new, and he's not stating it has rips or tears that he might put in, ask him to upload photos, when he can't odds are he'll ignore the requests, in 3 days call back, escalate it, we'll send him a message to send the shirt back, his cost and when you get it back, check it then call us as he opened it as a defect and automated system can't deduct restocking fee, go to paypal, give partial refund per your return policy minus shipping give us the transaction # and we'll close the case in your favor, then send you to report a buyer for opening a fraudulent return and report him for missuse of the money back guarantee. Appealed and they game me this one time courtesy thing, I got busted shirt, the money, but they out of their pocket gave buyer back his money. ![]() Twice however I've had someone wash a NWOT shirt and damage them and open a return, damaged or SNAD, the first time I like they state, check the shirt to make sure it is in the same condition as it went out, if not appeal, first shirt, no hickup, guy had a long sleeve linen/silk shirt drycleaned with heavy starch, my dry cleaner says it's basically now a pizza box, can't launder out the startch as it will damage the silk, and dry cleaning will never remove the starch. However I've had 5 people now open SNADS, something wrong so they can return the shirt avoiding the return policy, part of eBay right? Get them back and relist and sell them again $6 higher to cover the round trip shipping I lost because a buyer doesn't know his size, but also doesn't want to pay restocking. ![]() I include full measurements for clothes as if a tailor was going to create a shirt from scratch so the buyer knows his XL shirt is either on the small, larger XL, etc, and have a 20% restocking fee for buyers remorse so hopefully if it doesn't fit I'm not loaning out clothes, but I'm also not loosing money either if someone doesn't mind paying round trip shipping and restocking just to try on a shirt or see if the blue matches their eyes, whatever. I have about 20 retail sources where I purchase new items, highly discounted clothes and where possible can remove the discount sticker off the original mall tag and sell NWT, if not I remove the tags, sell then still new as NWOT, I use 5 photos for shirts, 7 photos for jeans, and 8 photos for shoes, basically like a retail website. This could be a long post, but I'll give barebone details, then if anyone responds I'l explain a bunch of other things I didn't know till 17 reps, 3 supervisors, 4 appeals reps and 9 reps which 2 supervisors have recommended go through returns retraining.
